Content warning lists

As far as we know, we’re the first publisher to use content warnings as a publishing tool. In the interests of transparency, we’re maintaining our lists publicly.

Please note that these are not meant to be comprehensive lists! These are warnings we have found applicable to our own books, and we consider them a living document. As we release more books, these lists will grow, and items on them may change as our policies evolve.

We hope, in time, they will become a valuable resource for anyone seeking to have similar conversations or apply similar policies.

Please note that these lists are not a certified medical or psychological tool.

*Instances indicates that the topic in question is not a subject of focus, but an incidental side-effect in multiple given scenes. For example, ‘instances of discrimination’ might reflect incidental character dialogue, while ‘discrimination against [minority]’ would indicate something pervasive and embedded in the book’s subject matter.
